Additional private medical assurance to supplement the statutory medical insurance

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Germany has a statutory sickness assurance system (GKV). A full private sickness assurance (PKV) is only available for patients who are not obliged to join the governmental medical assurance. But everybody has the chance to effect additional private medical insurance besides the governmental medical insurance. On the market there are many assurance suppliers offering these supplementary private medical assurances. On this site the customer can order a cost-free comparison of insurance vendors and get their personal supplementary private sickness insurance quotation: http://www.pkv-zusatz.com/Private_Krankenhaustagegeld_Versicherung.html

A supplementary private sickness insurance has numerous benefits:

Private patients see the doctors bills and know how much is billed. So you can see how costly the different items are. As a private insured, you can control the medical bills. People with a additional private sickness insurance can be treated like private patients. This means that the assurance providers pay items like glasses and contact lenses. In addition, a patient with a supplementary private health assurance might get a single room in hospital as well as daily compensation payments for the period of sickness. Patients should always look for some quotes before effecting your complementary private health insurance provider. That can be done online.

Every German, who is obliged to be a member of the governmental medical assurance (GKV), can contract additional private sickness assurance. This applies especially to workers and employees whose earnings are below the GKV assurance limit. The assurance limit is a salary of 4,050 Euros per month in 2009. The monthly expenses of the private health insurance are only dependent on the personal contract and are not calculated in accordance to your income. Everybody, who is not happy with the low performance of the national sickness insurance, should think about buying complementary private sickness insurance. So they can get the good feeling to be provided with better treatment and performance in case of sickness.

Several companies offer the option of making modulation to the tariff of the active agreement. That is quite useful when your individual standards change over time. The additional private health assurance offers additional performance to members of the governmental sickness assurance in Germany. Private medical assurers pay items, which are not paid by the governmental medical insurance. The details are dependent on your individual agreement.

How you can Assess Auto Insurance and Why it’s Important

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Auto Insurance may be one place that could be tough to assess for many people. You may be wondering why you should evaluate automobile insurance at all; to individuals not in the insurance market one auto insurance provider may seem nearly the same as another.

So why Assess Automobile Insurance Companies?

It can seem complicated to discern car insurance companies in the beginning; there are a variety of advertisements on tv as well as the Internet, the brand names and slogans ultimately will become troublesome to distinguish. This can create the illusion that all automobile insurance companies are essentially similar and make the buyer believe that comparing them is unnecessary.

All car insurance companies will not be the same in all areas. The first step to compare car insurance companies should be to think about what’s important to you in an insurance company, after which you can think about what is important to you in an insurance cover plan.

Why Assess Car Insurance Plans?

Auto insurance policies can vary as much as their companies. There are lots of things to consider when you are choosing what policy is right for you. Choosing the best insurance company may be helpful at this point; they will be able help wade through some of the choices and choose what’s best for your family.

A few areas to consider include, will you require a rental car if you’re in an accident? Do you need road side assistance or is this included in your car warranty? Do you want collision and comprehensive insurance or do you think you’re only interested in insuring damage you may do to another person’s car in the event of a major accident?

How to Evaluate Automobile Insurance Companies and Plans

The Internet is a effective tool that is used to evaluate auto insurance providers and plans. You can do everything from getting company information to checking out the variations between coverage types and limits online. An individual can utilize the Internet to obtain multiple quotes and assess various insurer premiums.

When utilizing the Internet(including talking to the local insurance offices) for this purpose one must always compare quotes using the same policy designs and limits. Someone also needs to take into account what he or she wants from a provider. The amount of support and convenience may differ insurer to insurer.

In order to make certain someone is using the right provider for them, and that their plan design is right for their needs, it is best to become well-versed on the subject to a specific degree so its possible to assess automobile insurance policies and car insurance providers as accurately as they can be.

That Battered And Bruised Cat Required Front Line

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

My cats got fleas just once and we can totally guarantee you that there will not be a second time. The ordeal was horrible! We in no way had a kitty that had fleas prior to this so we didn’t know very well what was going on. We had not a clue that our cat was absolutely infested with fleas. She was eating typically and we did not really detect her scratching. I noticed something crawl over her body about her scalp one day and had not a clue what it absolutely was. I didn’t believe that my kitten could maybe have be infected. She by no means even ventures outside the house. Well, she did. She required frontline for cats.

The dog most likely gave all of them to her. We knew when the dog had fleas. We understood what to do. We got him some medicine. We though the meds would kill the fleas. Not so. Not really. Those that were foolish enough to hang in there died. But there were a few smart ones in the lot. A number of fleas that knew that the great times all said and done. They promptly sized up the kitty and abandoned the dog. They were onto the cat like mold on a shower curtain.

They misused no time creating her dismal. The dog was getting better fast. Naturally he was. The creatures on him were either dropping dead or leaping ship.

Poor cat. At least we can identify the symptoms and are a bit more more careful with our cats overall health. We’ll in no way let that to happen again. The easiest way to understand is by messing things up. Too bad for the cat we had to screw my kitty up.

Getting a Quality Water Filtration System for Your Home

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Are you continually vexed by a harsh aftertaste caused by the espresso that you make for your guests or customers? Let me tell you why that happens. Chemicals including flouride can affect the taste and aroma of water and can damage the flavor of any concoction. Another problem could be mineral-rich water that causes scale build-up in the machine’s water tank and water lines. That can lead to complications like plugged valves and seal leakage which impedes the function of your machine. An espresso water filtration system is specifically designed for commercial espresso machines to remove the chemicals and bring down the particulate level to enable you to get an ideal taste every time you serve a cup.

The ordinary water that we get out of the tap consists of many chemicals and depending upon your locale the level of the pollutants can vary. Can you imagine it? There are more than two thousand different types of impurities found in drinking water all over the US. Quite a few of these are known to cause cancer and may contribute to other ailments as well. This is why so many people are expressing their anxieties concerning contaminated water and demanding clean water which is their rightful due.

It is crucial that people are educated about the water they use each day in their coffee. They ought to, in addition, be taught about their opportunities for an water well filtration system which are available now.

For several years there has been a soaring demand for the espresso water filtration system. A few of the systems are sand based, others use carbon or a reverse osmosis process to do the job.

The filters are meant to be changed after a certain number of gallons of water is purified by them. Among these, many are fairly thick, and are made to block chlorine, pesticides, and many more impurities. You may want to consider a water well filtration system for your home.

Cuno Water Filtration: The CUNO water filtration system filters water which is then utilized in commercial espresso machines. The CUNO system eliminates chlorine and other pollutants from regular water. This reduces the harsh taste and increases warming time, enabling you to offer the best tasting coffee or tea to your customers. The unit is built from food-grade polyphosphates that prevent the collection of lime scale on spigots and in hoses. This espresso water filtration system uses submicron filtration, which lowers the mineral deposits in the pump, water distribution pipes, small orifices, and heating tank. This filtration unit offers up-to-date energy efficiency and will extend the performance of your espresso maker, lowering the cost of repair and electricity bills.

Bunn Easy Clear Espresso Water Quality System: This Bunn system decreases chlorine flavor and aroma with a carbon filtration system. The Easy Clear Water Quality System can furthermore soften up to 1,900 gallons of water, depending on your area’s water hardness. The Easy Clear espresso water filtration system is engineered to easily connect to your original plumbing. To allow for easy removal, the Bunn Easy Clear features a patented Quick Connect valve-in-head design which enables you to halt the flow of water with a simple ¼ turn.

How To Manage Your Debts

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

For lower and middle class people, acquiring money is both hard and easy.  Hard in a sense that spending most of our time at work to exhaust most, if not all of it, in a brief period of time through our everyday expenditures and easy in a sense that lots of banks and lenders are ready to present average Joes and Janes loans in the form of credit cards.

Buying things through credit card usage can be beneficial to our finances if we place some thought and plan with every transaction.  Unfortunately, millions of individuals still manage to get wedged in a debt trap.

In our present time and at some stage of our life, we are likely to stumble upon debt.  Tiny or large, a debt should be settled sooner or later.  Debt is unsavory but it can still be prevented or diminished and the best course of action one can take is to avoid it or get some assistance.

It is very crucial to meticulously think of each and every thing you need or want to spend on.  Gauging your budget to evaluate your expenditures and how much of them you can afford will make a huge difference to your finances.

If your use of credit cards often makes you feel you are stepping in the dark, you might want to think twice of using it more often than you should.  If you do not know much of how you use your credit card, you are better off withdrawing cash.  Handing out cash to your transactions will give you a better view on the exact amount you are spending and you’ll be able to assess your resources more efficiently.

If debt is bound to be on you or if you are already in one, then you must do everything you can to settle it and make some budget sacrifices.

Taking note of every small and major expenses is the first and simplest thing you can do.  From your everyday or monthly supplies to your mortgage and car payments, be sure to jot down their precise, or at least the nearest, price for each of them. After you have listed all of your expenses, the next sensible action will be to cut back on the things you don’t really need or replace it with a lower priced brand.  Making sacrifices is continuously an elemental part on the way to recovery.

Your payments should also be allocated effectively by prioritizing essential loans and bills such as mortgage or rent, utilities, and taxes.  Even if the margin of your debt is because of credit card/s, payments for it should come after.

Mortgages, rents, utilities and such should always be prioritized first in terms of payments.  Paying off your credit card debt wouldn’t do you any good if you can’t even pay your prime necessities like your home or your water and electricity.

If you are having a hard time to pay off bills and your debts, it is advisable for you to get advice from debt experts.  The Consumer Credit Couselling Service even offers a free debt advice.  There are also private debt management organisations that offer free advice and you’ll only pay for their service as soon as you set up the arrangement with them.  Debt management companies that are honest can also bring down your interest rate and stretch your payment period by making an agreement with your creditor/s.

No matter what course you take, you should always take both your mistake and solution as a lesson in order to avoid a recap of the ordeal and make yourself a more dependable consumer.

Make More Sales by Buying Subscribers to Add to Your List

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Definitely one of the ideal techniques to get started on setting up your prefect mailing list is to merely pay money for subscribers. At the same time, I do not advocate going this course if you do not have capital to spend into your home business. You can pull off this feat via the placement of ads.

I should warn you however that just because you have a record of random names and email addresses inside of a database, it doesn’t make it a successful list. You see, a money-making email list is not simply just some list with a lot of persons that may or may not be interested in buying in what you or your corporation has to offer. The leads that you want to get are persons that are intrigued in you and what you present. Those individuals will buy from you from you on the usual.

Since I have gotten the warning out of the way, we will get into what I mean when I say invest in subscribers. First thing you should do is search website pages or newsletters that specialize in your field of know-how. As an example, if you’re a specialist in blue widgets, you don’t want to position ads in a newsletter that supply information on flamingo widgets! If done the right way, people will observe your ad in a newsletter about blue widgets in which some people will decide to click on the link taking them to your site. When at your web page they’ll most likely sign up to your list to get additional info from you. Later you will see your email list commencing to develop and in the long term some profits coming in.

Another way of developing a list using the fore mentioned strategies is to buy a list of names and email addresses of individuals that have portrayed desire in what you or your company has to offer. Lots of organizations compile big lists of names and email addresses on diverse subjects of interest. These kinds of organizations turn around, sell those names, and email addresses to people like you that are looking for customers/subscribers. Yet, make sure that you’re buying these lists from good businesses. You could be flagged as spammer if you’re not careful.

Surviving the Current Financial Challenge

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

In the current climate of near certain worldwide financial crisis there has been a traumatic worldwide economic meltdown which has put the world economy as we know it at risk. There are many organisations who will not survive but there are some who will not only survive but will benefit in these unfortunate times. For instance our business in web design has increased recently because in an effort to reduce costs companies are turning to the internet to improve sales without incurring huge overheads. So companies like ours suddenly are in greater demand. However for the majority of the population it is a question of surviving and getting through it. If your business is on a sound financial footing and you have money behind you then this will be beneficial in the coming years. You may even be able to reduce employee salaries for a period of time, rather than have lay-offs or even closing down, but whatever strategy you apply it will need to be with the agreement of the workforce because a company is dependent of the good will of its employees at such a time.

Cash flow

Most businesses go to the wall because of problems with cash flow. If there is not enough money coming it to pay for goods and services then it will not be long before a company goes into bankruptcy. Constant monitoring of the financial position is crucial. It is so easy to spend and not realise how much is leaking out and where it is all going. Keeping a tight control on costs is always a vital activity because that is what makes or breaks a company. More profits always come from reducing outgoings whether it’s reducing waste or cheaper purchasing or decreasing the workforce. I once listened to an audio tape on how to become wealthy and the one item to impact me was the advice to plug the leaks. Most people when running short of money try to find a way of making more money, but without a balance of reducing outgoings they never seem to resolve their problem. The simple reason is that when people earn more they spend more. If you imaging a bath with the tap turned on to fill it up. If the plug is securely in place the bath will fill up fairly quickly. But if the bath was full of holes no matter how much water you pour into the bath it will never fill up. The analogy is that the bath is your bank account, the tap is your earnings and the holes are your spending. Since listening to that tape, I have made a point of keeping expenses to a minimum at home and at work and every little sum of money coming in I see as a positive step to achieving wealth.

Avoid buying anything unless you absolutely have to or delay some necessary purchase for a few more months if possible. It’s amazing how you can manage without something for a period of time by using up existing or old stocks and making sure that waste is reduced to an absolute minimum. One of the things we teach early on is that being good with finances is often just a case of regular monitoring and being aware of what is going on with your finances.

Look for Bargains when Purchasing.

When you do have to procure goods to run the business, make sure you look out for bargains or negotiate for a better deal than you may have achieved previously. When times are tough, sales with no profits are better than nothing and there are some good deals to be had. One company I recently heard about sold a house for half the price when a customer came along with a cash offer.

We were recently tasked with setting up website hosting on a very low budget for our client www.hotelsinbrighton.org we actually managed to find a hosting company who are providing free website hosting if you buy a domain name from them. So just because you have a pre conceived idea that something has to be paid for, or costs a certain amount, it might not necessarily be the case and it is worth investigating all markets and reviewing all costs continuously.

Look at your Spending in purchasing.

By taking a good long hard look at all of the business overheads I am sure it will be easy to identify those areas similar to ours where you have large outgoings. If those costs are critical to the functioning of the business then looking for better deals with other providers or renegotiate with current provider to maybe save thousands of pounds. So in many ways the current economic climate could be seen as a good thing because it forces businesses to review their outgoings and get rid of the dead wood. In any business, the higher the outgoings, the smaller the profits. When there is an economic downturn or some loss of business unless you have unlimited capital set aside, it is vital to reduce spending otherwise the business will not survive. Most really successful businesses understand the value of controlling outgoings and constantly review costs, even when times are good.

Tighten your Belt – Eliminate Extravagent Spending

Although looking at reducing large overheads is one way to improve the viability of your company, another is to pay attention to the small amounts going out. It is so easy to think ‘Oh it’s only a few pounds’ but small amounts add up and can so easily get out of control. Remember that old saying ‘take care of the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves’ I think it is so true. So cut out unnecessary spending, no perks on the business such as lunches or dinners to woo customers. They rarely actually need it if your business is offering honest value for money and top class services, and in most cases customers and prospects will appreciate you being prudent if it means you stay in business and continue as their valued suppliers. Directors can lead the way by paying themselves less or taking a pay cut showing that they are willing to tighten their own belts.

Recently it was announced that Bruce Forsythe was taking a cut in salary for his position as the host of Strictly Come Dancing, one of the most popular programmes on TV at the moment. He believed that they were being overpaid and put his money where his mouth was. There is nothing worse than asking other people to manage on less when you are not prepared to do so yourself.

Another major area of expense is salaries and the costs that go with them. If you employ a large number of people the overhead expenses are huge. However there is always a natural wastage where people leave or retire so without actively having to make people redundant there may be chances to reduce the wages bill when times are hard. Efficiency and effectiveness of the people working in the company is critical and communicating with the workforce as to how they can reduce wastage and be more effective can be a rewarding policy.

One example from my previous work in organisations was when running a supervisors workshop. One of the delegates was complaining that when he needed to order supplies he had to sent the request up the line and wait until the senior manager had given the go ahead. As he was responsible for keeping supplies stocked and felt very frustrated at the time it took for him to get the approval he needed. I was amazed to hear that he was being so hampered in doing his job properly. So when I asked the question. ‘What’s to stop you ordering the goods yourself?’ after a long think, he said it had always been done that way. Nobody had questioned the procedure and whether it was still necessary to follow it. The outcome was that the he was given the go ahead to do the ordering himself and the senior manager was freed from one task he could happily do without.

Do Your Customers have Financial Stability?

If one of your customers is a very large company and they are source of the majority of your revenue then you are in a high risk position. It is a good idea to ensure that you have more than one high volume customer as well as lots of smaller ones so that you will be covered if one suddenly defaults on payment.

Find out the financial viability of your best customers. When the income of a customer falls then their ability to purchase goods and services is affected. If they are able to pay, then you will be able to pay your suppliers. There is nothing worse than doing a lot of work or selling a lot of stock to customer and then not getting paid. Situations like this can often cost you money, and that is the road to financial ruin, so be sure to be aware of your client’s economic situation as best as possible. We use the free Dunn and Bradstreet financial tracking service to identify any negative changes registered against any of our major clients

We recently heard about a planning consultancy provider whose client went into liquidation owing them in excess of £10,000, fortunately because of their healthy cashflow and low gearing they survived this huge loss.

Find out the financial viability of your best customers. When the income of a customer falls then their ability to purchase goods and services is minimised. If they are able to pay on time, then you will be able to pay your suppliers. There is nothing worse than doing a lot of work or selling a lot of stock to customer and then not getting paid. Situations like this can often make the difference between success or failure. The cost to you in money and wasted effort and resources could be the road to financial ruin, so make sure you are aware of your client’s economic situation as much as possible. When the financial crisis happened one of our best customers suddenly switched to a two month payment plan which meant that we did not get any money from them for a month. When we protested the chief executive told his manager to find another suppler. There were a number of outstanding invoices worth thousands of pounds and we were powerless to do anything. Our overheads were compromised for that month but we were fortunate enough to have access to a reserve fund to tide us over. And yes we did get paid the whole amount over time.

Avoid Borrowing Money

When the world is in a financial crisis it is better not to borrow money if you can help it. If you have already borrowed significant sums of money then make sure you talk to your bank and get the best deal on repayments you can. If it’s possible to repay a chunk of money to reduce the interest you are paying out then do so. To me interest is money going out for nothing in return and is not good money management.

Having said all that, the interest rate in America is just over 1% and recently rates have been radically reduced in the UK. But that in itself is what caused this whole financial mess in the first place. People borrow money cheaply then re-lend it at a higher rate of interest and take the difference in profit. Once the interest rate rises to a more normal level they will bail out and take their billions off to buy an island somewhere while everyone else pays the price. I know that is an over simplification of the problem, but it serves to demonstrate that the greed of a few has caused the distress of thousands of the majority.

In my property rental business, a few years ago I had to let a house at a reduced rent but found a good long term tenant. This meant that the income was only just covering my costs but subsequently, because of the drop in interest rates, the mortgage repayments on the property have been reduced by £150 a month. This means I have been able to realise a small profit and with that money I am reinvesting it in improvements to the house. Long term I see it as a good investment to maintain the standard and value of the property. So for some companies who have had to borrow money to stay afloat there is the benefit of lower interest rates to reduce the burden of repayments.

You Only Have to Survive

The world economic climate is currently, I realise, much more complicated than we are suggesting above. Although it is true that the simple way of dealing with a crisis is often the best solution. If you cut everything back to the bone and try to emulate the times when people did not have such complicated lives, it can allow you to get on top of a situation. Years ago people used to manage their company without using huge corporations to gain tax advice, many managed with no espresso coffee machines and other such luxuries such as cleaning services and people who come round every month to sanitize the telephones! they managed by performing extra tasks on their own when required or they just went without. As your business grows, or recovers, it probably won’t make commercial sense to sit and trawl through your business accounts doing book keeping yourself or to have to do a lot of extra research and administration, so you can restore those facilities that help to make you more money once the business has recovered.

Now I am not suggesting that we should go back to the good old days. What I am saying is that we might think we can’t manage without all our latest gadgets such as mobile phones that take photos, but the reality is that we can do more with a great deal less, as long as we put ourselves into the right frame of mind and think positively about what we can achieve rather than what we haven’t got. Obviously as your business grows, or recovers, it doesn’t become economically viable to sit and trawl through tax return forms or to have to do a lot of extra research and administration yourself, so you can restore those facilities as and when you have recovered your financial equilibrium.

Think what the Victorians did with the limited resources they had at their disposal. The horse was the main mode of transport and they used the manure to heat cold- frames and managed to grow pineapples without any other form of heating. They did not have cars, computers, mobile phones or even phones. The railway was only just coming into being, and they did not even have electricity. But with their energy and ingenuity they conquered the world. The industrial revolution with their steam driven machines changed our economy for ever. In the past there was no such thing as designer and yet businesses survived|thrived.

Stay in a Positive Frame of Mind

By this I do not mean be in denial and pretend the world is not going through a tough time. But if you are continually thinking and worrying about the negative aspects of the financial situation, then you are likely to make it come true. Don’t forget you get what you wish for and by concentrating on something then it will work like a wish, so why not concentrate on ways of getting new customers, giving better value to your existing customers and how your company could offer new products or services to your existing customer base?

Conclusion

Although during this recession there is no doubt times are hard for people who have lost their jobs. No work, equals no money coming in, so how do people pay their bills and their mortgages? If consumers have been prudent during times of prosperity and they have a nest egg for a rainy day, then they can probably get by for a few months until they get another job. But if they are already up to their eyes in debt then they will face personal bankruptcy and could lose everything.

In spite of all that, some people are managing quite well if they have jobs or some other type of income. One article I read recently said that the death rate reduced noticeably during recession and put that down to eating more healthily at home and not eating so much junk food. So OK we can’t afford to go out for meals as much, and things are more costly, but home prepared food is often better for you and sharing meals with the family is a way of coming together and communicating. So it’s not all bad. Good luck for a prosperous future.

Carpet Cleaning is Important for health

Carpet Cleaning for Your Health

When someone is diagnosed with indoor allergies, one of the first things he’s probably told to do is to remove any wall-to-wall carpeting in the house. It’s true that carpeting traps allergens, but let’s take another look at this view.
Just what is an indoor allergen and where does it come from? The things most likely to make you sneeze and wheeze are pollen, household dust, dust mites, pieces of cockroach carcasses, chemicals, mold spores, dried food particles, clothing and bedding fibers, soil tracked in from the outdoors, pet dander, and dead human skin cells. Yuck! Unless you walk around in a plastic bubble, you can’t avoid all of them. Every time you walk outside to go to work or school, you bring at least some of these allergens into your home with you.

You might think with good reason that hard-surface floors are easier to keep clean because you can actually see the dirt you just cleaned up. Take a look at the dust drifting through a sunbeam right after you’ve swept the floor. That stuff floats around until it settles back on to the floor and furniture. When you walk across the floor, you disturb the dust and it starts floating around again where you breathe it in. That’s not allergen-free living, is it?

If you’ve ever fallen off a bike or if you are middle-aged, you probably know that gravity isn’t your friend. If you have allergies, sometimes gravity can work in your favor, though. Gravity causes allergens to settle back to the floor. Here’s the beauty of carpeted flooring. Carpeting is actually the biggest filtration device in your house. Dirt and allergens settle into the carpeting fibers where they remain trapped and can’t drift around.

All those yucky things we mentioned above are now trapped in your carpeting. Daily vacuuming is your best friend in removing some allergens from your indoor environment, as long as you take the vacuum outdoors to clean it afterward. Otherwise, you’re recontaminating your house with all the dust that puffs out of the filters and bags. Most household vacuums don’t have enough suction to pull everything out of your carpeting. Periodically, you’re going to need to bring in a hired gun, a professional carpet cleaning New Jersey service.

You already have enough problems with indoor air quality. You don’t want to add to them by using a carpet-cleaning service that depends on toxic cleaning solutions to do the work. Not only are they bad for your air quality while they’re being used, they often leave behind residues in your carpeting that you will be breathing in for months.
This is where our all natural cleaning methods come in. We use soft water that makes cleaning more effective, leaving your carpeting cleaner and healthier because it doesn’t leave a residue behind on the fibers. We move your furniture around as we clean so we get into all those nooks and crannies where allergens like to lurk.
We’ve been clean carpeting for 22 years and learned early on that organic cleaners not only work better, but are just better for indoor air quality and your health. If you want to clean your carpeting, your best indoor air filter, you should give us a call for a free carpet cleaning New Jersey audit.

How Relevant Is Your Content To Your Target Audience?

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

I find it very interesting as I surf the web checking out marketing strategies of other business owners, I do this from time to time to get an idea of what works and what doesn’t. It’s also a great way to tweak my marketing strategies and learn from successful business owners online. I’ve come across some great ideas which have really helped me a lot with my business. And I’ve also come across some really bad content out there, mainly having to do with relevancy to target audiences and niche markets.

When you think about it writing for your target audience is just a matter of giving your market what they want that’s it pure and simple. You could never sell a steak to a group of vegetarians so why would you write a meat lovers article targeted towards vegetarians, I actually saw an article like this it totally blew my mind. And it was kind of funny because the author didn’t have a clue to why so many negative comments were left on his blog post.

Writing relevant content is also a great way to please the search engines, because the major search engines know that when a searcher types in a keyword or keyword phrase in order for searcher to have a pleasant search experience the results that come back better be relevant to what they were searching for. If you stay relevant by providing timely content on a consistent basis for what your market is looking for you will never go wrong when it comes to pleasing the search engines and humans as well, this is Kevin Thomas hope you enjoyed this relevant content.

Learn How Leaf Spring Works!

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Shock absorbers don’t really absorb shock, they dampen it. Why is this important for you to know? To improve ride quality, or in the case of a tow-able RV, the “white knuckle” factor induced by trailer bounce and sway, it is necessary to understand a little regarding the dynamics a shock absorber attempts to manage. This mod discusses both ride dynamics and issues related with the item, in addition to to know how to mod your RV to drastically develop your driving and/or towing understanding.

Basically put, a shock absorbers sole purpose is to dampen the compression and rebound of any suspension system by controlling the speed at which a suspension cycles. Without them, your RV would continue to bounce up and down until the kinetic energy is finally dissipated from the suspension’s springs (e.g. leaf springs, coil springs, torsion bar, etc.). Now let’s think about the law of conservation of energy. With this law in mind, shocks will perform two functions. The first function is to slow the suspension’s cycling of compressing or rebounding. Secondly, since energy can’t be destroyed, the shock transforms the kinetic energy into heat as it dampens the “bouncing” of the springs. That’s it. That’s what a shock does.

So why is this important? The the greater part of tow-able RVs don’t are available from the factory with shock absorbers! And while class A, B, and C motor homes do have shocks, they are often times barely adequate to control the suspension, causing wandering and excessive side-to-side motion on uneven surfaces.

To install shock absorbers on a tow-able RV, a retrofit kit is generally needed, although some tow-able currently have the state of mind and shackle tabs necessary. A retrofit kit contains bracketry and hardware necessary to easily install the shocks. These kits use a plate that mounts to the bottom of the leaf spring shackles and has a tab for the bottom of the shock to mount to. The top mount for the shock attaches to the frame. It is often essential to drill a hole in the frame in order to bolt the top shock mount to. This sounds scary to do but there is generally enough frame material that the hole drilled won’t weaken the frame any significant amount.

For torsion type axles, like the Dexter brand, the retrofit kits are a little different. Since there are no shackles, you must either replace the torsion arm link (from the axle housing to the spindle) with one that has a lower shock mount, or have a tab welded to the torsion arm link. The upper mount can either be drilled through the frame or an additional mounting tab will need to be welded to the frame. Much depends on your particular axle arrangement, though most torsion axle setups are generally the same.

Motor homes are a little different. Since they already come equipped with shock absorbers, replacing them is all that is important. It’s much mod you possibly can commonly fix by yourself as all that is generally involved is, using basic hand tools, to unbolt the shocks from their mounts and replace them using the reverse order used during removal. There may be some bolt corrosion to deal with but a little penetrating fluid sprayed on a half hour or so before bolt removal will make things much easier. If you have a motor home that has struts (like a Sprinter) instead of independent springs and shocks, you should have a qualified suspension professional do the job. Special tools are needed to compress the strut assembly if you want to remove and replace the shock cartridge.

Tip: When fitting a tow-able RV with shocks using a retrofit kit, you will have to ensure you know how long of a shock you need beforehand as the upper mount point can vary from trailer to trailer. A close guesstimate is to measure from the lower shackle plate to the middle of the frame rail. If you opt for the kit which includes shocks, make certain this measurement is within the working range of the shocks supplied with the kit.
